You can set up one or many calendars with your Google integration. For example, you can authorize one account that is your default that feeds your front page and main calendar pages.
If there are separate calendars you want on specific pages (a youth group calendar for example) you can use links and embed codes to ensure this specific calendar on certain pages.
If you want more specific calendars you may need Google Workspace in order to use the resourcing feature from Google. We can walk you through that if you decide to use this feature.
For a simple integration follow these instructions:
1) From the Dashboard, click on System.
2) Click 'Site Settings'
3) Click the Social & APIs tab and find the 'Google Calendar ID' field.
4) Navigate to the calendar you wish to connect at https://calendar.google.com. You must be able to sign in to the account whose calendar you wish to connect
5) Click on the kebab (the three dots) next to your name in the calendar you wish to connect.
6) Click Settings and Sharing
7) Make sure that "Make available to public" is checked.
8) Back in MV Pro, click Authorize Google.
9) Choose the account whose calendar you wish to connect. If you encounter a page that asks you to ensure that you trust this application, you can continue by navigating through the Advance Options. It is unlikely this will happen – the video below is on a test site, which doesn't have the same secure-host setup that a live site does. Spooky test site!
10) Allow access to the Google calendar. This does NOT give Membership Vision access to your Google account.
11) Select the calendar that should be the default main calendar, which will display when you add the Calendar content block to a page, and click Add ID.
12) Yay! Calendar added! Now, if you wish to add this public calendar feed to the site for public viewing, you can do so by adding the Calendar content block to a page or post.
